Wellness Wednesday: Exploring Therapeutic Cannabis Research

Join us for our first Wellness Wednesday with speaker Dr. Zachary Walsh as we explore the potential clinical application of cannabis. This session will discuss evidence-based therapeutic benefits, cannabis modalities, and cannabis' role in healthy aging and neurocognition.

This session provides a general overview and is not intended to be used as medical advice. Please consult with your physician when considering cannabis use for therapeutic or medicinal purposes.

Announcing the Creative Collective Project
We are excited to introduce our new initiative, the Creative Collective, which aims to spotlight art created by members of the BC Brain Wellness Program community. Starting in February, this ongoing project will showcase one artist each month, in our newsletter, website and social media accounts. Art can be anything from pottery, paintings, photographs, poetry, recipes, gardening arrangements and so much more… we would love to see it all! Art expression can offer a support system that honors feelings and emotions while letting us use our brains in new ways. This project highlights the importance of art in brain wellness and hopes to encourage more people to use art as a form of healthy expression, relaxation, coping, and growth.

Thank you for submitting your art so far and keep them coming! For your art to be considered for the Creative Collective project, fill out this Google Form and we will get in contact with you or email us at brain.wellness@ubc.ca with the subject line “Creative Collective”, if you have any questions.
